Livelihood Enhancement of Small and Marginal Farmers Orchard Plantation nurtures climate-resilient livelihoods through dryland horticulture, intercropping and community led stewardship of landscapes<\/strong>.<\/p>

WOSCA\u2019s Orchard Plantation promotes dryland horticulture as a regenerative solution, combining perennial fruit trees, intercropping, and decentralized irrigation. Across 200+ hectares in Telkoi and Keonjhar Sadar, 424 tribal and marginal households benefit through mango, cashew, and guava plantations with turmeric and vegetable intercropping.\u00a0<\/p>

Supported by MGNREGA and horticulture schemes, borewells, solar pumps, and RCC fencing strengthen infrastructure, while organic inputs and soil conservation boost resilience. Capacity-building has empowered farmers and local institutions with skills in orchard care, climate-smart intercropping, pest management, and documentation. These efforts ensure high survival rates, diversified incomes, and strong community ownership embedding climate adaptation into everyday lives and leadership.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
