Rajiv Gandhi National Creche programme supported by SSWB and implemented at Gopalpur-Nischintpur village of Sadar block
WOSCA, with the support of the Orissa State Welfare Advisory Board and the State Council for Child Welfare, managed a Day Care cum Crèche Centre at Nischintpur village in Sadar block, Keonjhar. The centre provided complete care, nutritional food supplements, immunization, health services, and early education to 25 children of working mothers.
Children aged 0–5 years were admitted, cared for, and prepared for formal schooling. Daily meals included rice, moong dal, suji, chuda, sugar, and biscuits, ensuring proper nutrition. Alongside play and learning activities, the crèche offered a safe environment for children while their mothers engaged in work, contributing to both child development and women’s empowerment in the community
