Jiban Sampark Programme

Strengthening co-ordination between government and PVTG communities through community mobilisation under the Jiban Sampark Project covering 55 villages of MPA areas of JDA-Gonasika of Banspal block, Keonjhar with the support of UNICEF.

WOSCA with the helpm of UNICEF strengthened maternal and child health practices by orienting ASHAs and AWWs on innovative communication tools and IYCF practices, and conducting interface meetings with frontline workers to address village‑level issues.

Tribal leaders committed to eliminating poor health practices, while health check‑up and counselling camps supported pregnant mothers with essential services.

Behaviour change was further promoted through video shows on positive health practices for frontline workers.

Improved communication skills among health workers, stronger collaboration with tribal leaders, enhanced maternal health awareness, and better access to services for mothers and children in remote communities.
