Maa Gruha (MWH) Supported by DMF – Keonjhar

Maternity Waiting Home – Maa Ghuha supported by District Mineral Foundation (DMF) at Revnapalaspal and Bramhanipal of Keonjhar

WOSCA facilitated a Maternity Waiting Home (Maa Gruha) from 2013 to 2024 at harichandanpur block to improve access to quality maternal and child health services across rural communities. The initiative promotes institutional delivery, safe motherhood, and reduced infant and maternal mortality.

Awareness meetings and counselling sessions have strengthened community knowledge on MNCH services, while mothers staying at the centre receive nutritious food, health counselling, and recreational support. there are 5059 mothers delivered thier babies with active support from Maa Gruha.

The programme has enhanced maternal health awareness, encouraged institutional deliveries, and provided safe, supportive care for mothers and newborns, contributing to healthier families and stronger grassroots health systems.
