Village Disaster Management Plan

Prepared villages, resilient futures.

With the support of the District Disaster Management Authority, Keonjhar, WOSCA has implemented the Village Disaster Management Plan across 11 Gram Panchayats and 61 villages of Anandapur and Saharpada blocks. The initiative equips communities to anticipate, prepare and respond to disasters by mapping risks, strengthening local institutions and fostering coordinated action during emergencies.

By engaging households, SHGs, PRI members, and youth groups, the project builds a culture of safety and resilience ensuring that vulnerable communities are better prepared to protect lives, secure livelihoods, and recover quickly from natural and human-made hazards.
