MGNREGA-NRLM-CFT Convergence Project supported by Panchayati Raj Department, Government of Odisha and implemented at Harichandanpur block from August 2014
The CFT Programme focused on improving life in rural areas by connecting two major government schemes: MGNREGA (which provides rural jobs) and NRLM (which supports self-help groups).
This effort created 178,000 days of paid work, with 121,000 days going to vulnerable families and nearly 57,000 days to women, helping people earn steady income. It trained 58 labour groups and 235 self-help groups on how to access these schemes, and linked 42 local plans to MGNREGA for more job opportunities. Awareness campaigns using a special MGNREGA vehicle reached 62 villages, while community meetings were held in 68 villages to boost participation and transparency. Overall, the programme created many jobs, helped self-help groups plan better, and built stronger local groups to use government support for lasting rural progress.
