This project Implemented across 13 blocks, 287 Gram Panchayats, and 2,067 villages of Keonjhar district, the Shakti Varta Project aimed to strengthen Self Help Groups (SHGs) and grassroots institutions. Covering a population of 15.5 lakh people and 11,897 SHGs, the project introduced cluster review points, block‑level federation assessments, and trained coordinators and facilitators to improve monitoring, decision‑making, and community engagement.
The initiative enhanced SHG federation capacity, empowered 574 GP facilitators to lead community processes, and created a robust system for grassroots women’s collectives to drive social and economic change.
