Strengthening Primary Health Centres

Transforming rural health facilities into vibrant, service‑ready centres of care and community wellbeing.

WOSCA, in partnership with LIC HFL, is revitalizing two Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and four Sub‑centres in Odisha. The initiative focuses on safe water systems, sanitation improvements, and modern medical equipment — from diagnostic tools and delivery beds to radiant warmers and crash carts. Facilities are being enhanced with solar backup, video conferencing, IEC displays, and internet connectivity, while community wellness is promoted through open gyms, child play avenues, and physiotherapy units.

Alongside infrastructure, over 200 health and ICDS service providers are being trained, supported by outreach camps and culturally relevant IEC materials in Odia. This collaboration ensures that rural health centres become more accessible, inclusive, and service‑ready, setting a new standard for quality healthcare in Odisha’s underserved regions.
