CHILDLINE-1098 Project

CHILDLINE Project supported by CHILDLINE India Foundation along with Ministry of Women & Child Development, Govt. of India at five blocks of Keonjhar

WOSCA set up two CHILDLINE centers in Keonjhar district across six blocks to help children in trouble. These centers were safe places where children could call for help anytime they faced abuse, neglect, or danger.

Children could talk to trained staff who listened to their problems, gave advice, and connected them to services through a toll-free number (1098). The centers organized awareness weeks with government officials, health workers, and village leaders to teach communities about this free helpline service.

Through these centers, many vulnerable children were rescued and given safe shelter and care. Communities learned more about protecting children’s rights and safety. Local leaders and workers became quick to respond when children needed help, creating a stronger safety net for all children in the district.
