During the COVID-19 crisis, vulnerable communities, including migrant workers, daily wage earners, and marginalized families, faced severe hardships. To mitigate the impact, essential relief efforts were mobilized, ensuring access to food, healthcare, and social security. Over 6,500 families in rural areas and 1,500 urban families in Bhubaneswar received dry ration support, while returning migrant workers were assisted with safe quarantine arrangements. Hot cooked meals were delivered to isolated COVID-19 patients in Keonjhar Municipality, and social protection advocacy ensured effective outreach of government welfare programs. Additionally, 2,940 PVTG (Juanga) individuals were successfully vaccinated through strong community mobilization. These initiatives were supported by Azim Premji Foundation, Plan International, Jiv Daya Foundation, UNDP, The Hunger Project, and individual donors, ensuring lifesaving assistance and strengthening community resilience during one of the most challenging times in recent history.
