Our Work

WOSCA is a non-profit organization that strives to empower women and girls by building their capacity.

Since its inception WOSCA has been taking up need-based programs primarily in the areas of livelihood development, income generation, preservation of environment, access to maternal and child health care, primary education, and human resource development. It has been working to promote sustainable livelihoods and socio-economic upliftment of the poor and depressed. It has also worked on skill training program, climate change, social accountability, disaster relief which are sustainable and holistic. Organization also fosters to resolve the issues which causes the people to be deprived from their entitlements and to reunite the unorganized mass to bring them in to the mainstream.

The range of our programmes includes formation and strengthening community based organizations, livelihood augmentation through NRM, Strengthening local governance through PRI capacity building initiatives and advocacy, Child Rights Protection, promotion of sustainable agriculture, Integrated Nutrition & Health Programmes, maternal and new born child health care, facilitation of primary education, entitlement tracking through mobile phone based MIS, handicraft promotion and development of rural artisans through skill up gradation programmes, women’s empowerment through access to information and economic safety nets, entrepreneurship building and vocational training to rural youths and women and revamping of culture for better living and other social activities.

Women’s Organization for Socio-Cultural Awareness (WOSCA) is a voluntary organization born on 20th December 1993 with the commitment to serve the under privileged people.WOSCA also maintains the tie-up with the banks and others corporate sectors.
